Coaching Costs

 

One hour sessions cost £4 and one and half hour sessions £5.

 

Parents have the option of purchasing a book of 5 tickets to reduce the cost per session.

 

(£17.50 for 5 one hour sessions or £22.50
for 5 one and a half hour sessions)

 

ADULTS EVENING ON THURSDAYS

On Thursday nights, the session for parents has been very popular and successful. This session is run by Michael the coach and is on a pay and play weekly sign-up basis. So if you don’t want to be continually thrashed by your offspring at tennis come along and learn how to improve your skills from 7.30 – 9.00pm. All standards welcome!

 

Fast Track & Performance

Players showing potential are filtered into a squad development programme run by our head coach, Matt Reid. Spaces are limited and by invitation only.

 

Fast Track Squads are aimed at improving speed and developing skills.

 

Performance Squads aim to give more individual attention in squads no bigger then four players.


Members at Latika JTC Coaching

The club offers coaching every Saturday morning between 9:00 and 14:30. The children are organised by ability into the following groups:

The focus of the Saturday coaching is learning through fun.

There are three sessions available on Wednesday evenings;

COACHING STAFF

Head Coach

Matt Reid. Matt joined Latika as a junior member in 1989 when the club was based at Bull Lane and progressed to become the Under-18 Boys champion in 1998. He started his coaching career by assisting the previous coach in 1997 and is now a licensed LTA coach (at the LTA Club Coach ‘CCA’ level). Matt also coaches the Berkshire under 10 boys squad.

Other Coaches

Michael Newland. Michael is also an LTA ‘CCA’ level coach and has 15 years of coaching experience. He has coached juniors at all levels and has significant experience of coaching high performance junior players up to Team GB level.

 

Steve Green. Steve is a parent of a junior member and is an LTA ‘DCA’ (Development Coach) level coach.

Coaching Assistants

The club encourages some of its older junior members to help out with the club’s coaching programme.

Child Protection and First Aid

All coaching staff, assistants and committee members are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and have attended appropriate first aid training.
